The day started by my wife stating, concerning this C-19 virus, I’m tired of this attack of the enemy. My instant reflex reaction was, this might not be the enemy.
I had to think quickly as to why I responded the way I did. My conclusion is this: yes, I know the hand of the devil is in all the fear and the hindrance of people worshiping. It is fear that stops people from being close and praying, eating and playing together. These are all important things that benefit us more than we know.
But I also know that satan cannot touch God’s Church without God’s permission. If he (satan) is working out of permission, what is God looking for?
Now before you click me off, let me explain. In the first chapter of Job we see the sons of God making a presentation before the LORD. Even satan had to come and give a presentation of all he had been doing.
There was one named Job that satan could not touch, a man scripture declares was perfect before the Lord. Satan could not touch him unless God removed the wall of protection from around him. Even then satan could not do to Job but only what God allowed.
We are the body of Christ. Not only does Jesus claim us as His own, but sees us as Himself. There has to be a message God is trying to convey in order for Jesus to allow satan to attack His own body.
Even though I see satan working feverishly to negatively impact Christ’s Church, there is something else I see. God states in scripture in at least ten different places. It is He who sends the sword, drought, locust and pestilence. Is satan working? Of course, he is. It was satan God used, not only to prove to satan his inability to bring Job down, He was able to grow Job through the trial as well.
If for some reason your view of God does not allow you to see things this way, it’s OK because the medicine is the same.
In one of our favorite scriptures to quote and post about healing of the nation is 2 Chr. 7:14… If my people, who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land. But what was He healing them from? The damage that is caused in verse thirteen. When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among MY people….
Now even though this is in the Old Testament it is still God’s word. But there is a New Testament scripture we believers need to look hard to. If we do it the results are the same. “Submit yourself therefore to God; resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
To submit here is a Greek military term that means to subordinate yourself under the authority of your commander.
We are told if we do this, then there is an act of resistance that must take place as well.
What we have done is blamed the devil, the Chinese the government and those who don’t comply to the new social standards. It does not matter their motivations for not masking up, but what all these things show us by blaming others, is our own hearts.
We are moving into a new era and God is shaking the world, but not the world only, He is shaking His Church.
Now what I am about to say, please understand I am not speaking of one’s salvation; Heaven or hell.
God is raising up a people who refuse to fear the words or wisdom of this world. These are a people full of the wisdom and Spirit of the Lord.
How is God choosing these people? Much like Gideon when he had a great army and in one swipe, God rid Gideon of ten thousand of his men. With only 300 men Gideon put to flight a much larger army. What about the others? They were not cast out, but when they heard of the great victory that was under way, they were allowed to joined in.
God has not made me privy to how He will do all of this, but He will. The Church of the Living Christ will get a great victory.
When it is all said and done, the Church will be moved by the Spirit of God and will have a community minded focus and a bond one with the other which will allow us to be different but yet love one another and focus on the purposes of God together.
David, after his town, Ziklag, was overthrown and he and his men had lost all, and on top of that his men talked of stoning David, David encouraged himself in the Lord and called for the priest and sought the Lord.
What was David’s reward for staying focused on the Lord? He gained back not only all that was lost but all the spoils of wars.
Our Father, is stirring the hearts of many. He will raise up a new type of spiritual warrior. Men and women who do not fear and whose hearts are pure and set on Him and His desires. There will be no desire for self or selfish motivation with these. Silver or gold or flirting eyes will not move them. Acceptance is not their goal, but living in the holy presence of God Almighty and His Christ, and doing His will is their heart beat.
This I do believe the Spirit of the Lord has spoken to me, and that is, before the great move of God we are all craving for there will be two “moves of God” that will set the table, so to speak. One will be a move of God’s Spirit in seats of power. Many who have places of authority will be moved on by God’s Spirit and hearts will be changed. Also, there will be a change in the way churches work together and churches will begin to work as a team in many different areas to reach whole communities. When we begin to see this take place God’s Spirit will move on His people in a way like never before.
We must, as the children of God focus on the will of God and prepare for every attempt of the enemy to hinder the purposes of God.
Believe! You don’t have to like or trust me, but take hold of His word and allow the Spirit of God to speak to you.
This I do know. If we do not learn how to enter into the presence of God we will be left behind in many things.
I strive very hard to have time with the Lord every day. I don’t mean just praying for things I want or reading the Bible. I mean spending time with Him, seeking Him for what He wants. Just taking time to love Him and taking His heart to Hear His desires for me. They are bigger than I can see.
Saying that, I had two days in a row where I had very little time to pray or worship. By the end of the second day I did not even want to pray. I felt flat and out of sorts. This virus thing fills the airways and I just could not see anything but discouragement. I could feel the oppression in the air as well as sense the attitudes of others. The worst of it was, all the things our Father has spoken to me seemed far away and unlikely to be fulfilled. However, on the third day, I purposed to enter into the presence of the Lord and almost immediately life returned and the vision He has given me came to life and the assurance of it has been restored.
We are in a time in which we must be steadfast in faith. Not fearing the reports coming from the world.
This is a God thing and He is about to give the enemy of His people a great defeat.
There will soon be revelations revealed and great corruption will be uncovered. We must not be shaken, but trust God with all our hearts.
Pray for those He has placed in Washington and local government too. Pray God’s protection from outside enemies as well.
Take heart and allow the faith of Jesus to fill your hearts that you may be all He has called you to be.
Pray for local spiritual leaders that they may see what God is doing and enter into it. Many will not see it because jealousy and pride will be a stumbling stone.
